Lay down the adhesive, and start laying the tile down in the kitchen, then after you finish the kitchen, do the dining room. Then when you come to joining the floors use a transitional saddle. That will solve the 1/8″ difference. Good luck on your project

u cant lay ceramic tile over ceramic tile…..and for the kitchen u need to install min 1/4″ duro rock then the tile…….
